From data to decision making – how to become a data driven organization?
Data is everywhere, news headlines, online articles, specialized conferences, etc. We see: “The rise of data driven organizations” or “Data scientists: The sexiest job of 21st century” or “Personalization is the new norm”. Some of us may be lucky to be in a newly formed organizations that took a digital path, are built using data as a business asset, but most of us are in companies who need a transformational process. What are the key challenges? How come that with available technology at affordable costs, only some can make it?

Panel Discussion
Data Driven Leadership - Is There a Crisis?
Today’s business leaders are expected to be data-driven and to use data as an important source of input when making important decisions, regardless of whether they’re small and routine or big and highly strategic. Thus, meaning that the usefulness of data has become a well-accepted fact.
This panel will explore the following key questions:
• What do we need to do differently so we focus on making sense of data we already have, rather than gathering more of it?
• How do we go faster, better from data to insights to stories & is all data good?
• How do you see data-driven decisions be impacted in an increasingly uncertain world (with historic trends being so unreliable-Covid et al)?
• What is the future of data cloud strategy? Single or multi-cloud or on-prem?
• How do we create the culture and the capability across different levels of organization to make something with it?
• How can we nurture leaders to create a culture where neurodiverse talent can flourish & evolve our data literacy and empower everyone in the organization to derive value from data?

Data Integration for Modern Data Analytics
The unprecedented need for insights in business today has pushed the demand for data to an all-time high. In the quest for deeper insights, there are ever more data sources – and they live in a distributed, multi-cloud, hybrid computing environment. To meet this demand, organisations need to modernise and ‘productionise’ the delivery of data products that can be shared across the business.
In this session, hear how a modern data integration approach should consider:
•Maximising business value with a cloud data strategy
•Identifying the appropriate data architectures for hybrid and multi-cloud environments
•Harnessing best practices around data collection and integration

Roundtables
Track 1: Emerging Tech and Delivering at Scale
Data presents an invaluable opportunity for firms to innovate but with the volume and complexity of data executives face a number of obstacles. Harnessing the right innovative technologies to handle the volume and complexity of data requires a stack of advanced machinery, including high-performance data stores, reliable and fast data processing pipelines, powerful analytical models, flexible integration layers, and interactive visualization systems.
This roundtable will explore the following key questions:
•How can we make interactions with data easier while ensuring smooth and controllable information diffusion throughout the enterprise.
•How can data leaders drive change while bridging the gap between businesses and technologies?
•To examine how can we use Analytics, including AI and the subfield of deep machine learning more effectively to innovate?
•How to utilize the data to analyze past and present trends, ideas, and market behavior?
Track 2: Making Data driven decisions, talent, and culture- The importance of how they work hand in hand
Data is sustaining new business models and transforming how companies organize, operate, manage talent, and create value. Thus, data is seen as a double-edged sword for leaders, the ability to seize the potential of advanced analytics, while simultaneously avoiding its hazards, is becoming harder.
This roundtable will explore the following key questions:
•What is your strategy to educate or upskill the business on how to treat data as an asset?
•How can we obtain a strong, unified commitment from all levels of management?
•We all know that data can be misunderstood in many organisations; what was your strategy to implement data governance and MDM in your business?
•How has the role of data within your organisation changed because of the global pandemic?
Track 3: Data & Analytics Strategies driving the future
Gartner says traditional data and analytics strategies cannot satisfy digital business demands. But Gartner analysts predict that by 2025, 70% of enterprises will move from big data to small and wide data (or data that comes from a variety of sources), thus enabling more context for analytics and intelligent decision-making.
This roundtable will explore the following key questions:
•How can we help our enterprise examine how the use of internal and external data can reinvent how we deliver value?
•What does the future of big data analytics have in store?
•How can we develop a clear data strategy with a strong data governance?

Panel Discussion
Data governance & Data management
Data management and data governance are not the same things; however, they are both essential to ensure the successful and beneficial use of data in your company. The goal is to determine a holistic approach to control data assets, so that you can get the most value from the data. Technology should support data governance through automation, scaling, and augmentation.
This panel will explore the following key questions:
•Data governance includes continuous improvement, correcting root cause issues and ensuring that data availability and quality increases over time. As we look to use more automation, remove manual steps to improve efficiency in data capture processes, we are effectively reducing headcount and the people employed to maintain the data. How have you gone about reassuring people about their futures?
•In my experience, truly successful data governance practices tend to be led by charismatic people but when they leave, the desire, buy-in, etc. seems to vanish with them. What future-proofing tactics have you used to keep momentum ensuring that success does not hinge on a single individual?
•Centralized vs decentralized – what is your experience on the model that stands the test of time, and have you found there is a tipping point to push one vs the other?
•How can we design a data governance plan that is strong against any disruption that may occur in the future?
•How can leaders balance innovation and governance successfully?
•How can data governance and data management build a strong data foundation?

Digital transformation and Innovation: Empowering a Data-driven business culture
Data is an invaluable resource, but ultimately, it depends on what you do with it. Therefore, transition from gut feeling experience to data driven decisions is a must. Strong commitment to utilizing the data and insights that we gather to drive customer value enables companies to become market leaders. However, this process should be thoroughly thought through and executed. Companies should consider the sequence of the “3 C’s rule”: connect, collect, and create! It is crucial to keep in mind that technology is not a disruptor by itself, being non-customer centric damages many good businesses. Customers would like to enjoy intuitive and seamless experiences limiting their interaction with cumbersome complicated systems. Our customer-centric supply chain traceability and transparency agenda is to create interfaces that would manage customer inventories, minimize losses, increase asset productivity, and enable exchange in an informed and sophisticated way
