Reducing snapshot sprawl, egress risk, and ransomware exposure across AWS and Azure

Organizations running workloads across AWS and Azure face three linked pressures: growing snapshot sprawl, unpredictable cross-region egress costs, and ransomware that targets primary cloud credentials. When backups remain tied to production accounts, an account takeover can endanger both live systems and the recovery points meant to restore them. Faced with these risks, IT leaders are asking a central question, how do we guarantee recoverability and compliance without adding operational burden?

Many teams are responding by decoupling protection from production identity and shrinking the operational surface of backups. Common approaches include agentless capture to reduce host-level maintenance, immutable backup stores kept outside primary cloud accounts to limit blast radius, and source-side deduplication plus lifecycle policies to rein in snapshot sprawl and egress exposure. These technical moves are paired with simpler governance, standardizing retention, legal hold, and access controls across providers so protection is operated consistently rather than as bespoke scripts.

Join industry peers to examine the trade-offs of isolating backup data, the governance shifts needed to run a single-pane protection model across AWS and Azure, and the financial levers that expose true multi-cloud cost of ownership. Bring tested recovery scenarios, consolidation experiences with snapshot inventories, and the one control you would change first to cut risk. The sponsor will join to share operational lessons and answer technical questions.

About Druva

Recognized as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Backup and Data Protection Platforms, Druva transforms complex hybrid multi-cloud protection across AWS and Azure into an invisible, self-sustaining utility. By decoupling immutable backups from primary cloud credentials into an air-gapped SaaS architecture, Druva frees IT leaders from fragmented native snapshot tools, unpredictable egress fees, and ransomware exposure—delivering guaranteed cyber resilience, automated compliance, and lower total cost of ownership without managing a single piece of infrastructure.
