GDS Group, the global events, research and technology services company, has today announced the winners of its annual Digital Leader of the Year awards. Rose Jia, Head of Paid Media for Amazon Grocery was awarded Gold Winner at the Digital Leader of the Year Awards North America which were hosted during a live virtual ceremony at the North American Digital Innovation Insight Summit 2020.
Amazon is one of the most recognizable brands worldwide. Since its inception during the mid-90’s the brand has gone on to become the world’s largest online marketplace, AI assistant provider, live-streaming platform and cloud computing platform.
Currently, Rose oversees paid media, awareness, and discovery for one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses: ultrafast grocery (Prime Now / Amazon Fresh / Whole Foods). She and her team identify new opportunities, partnerships, measurement tools and products to scale and grow the online grocery business by driving customer education and adoption.
In awarding Rose, the judges commented, “In adapting and making innovative structuring of her global taskforce, Rose’s personal leadership has clearly been instrumental in driving the time to market timeline. Equally some ground-breaking use of multivariate attribute to target her marketing engagement increase of 400% is pretty awesome. Rose has been impressive in terms of leadership and influence.”

In addition to the Gold “Digital Leader of the Year” award, two further awards were announced. Graeme Cochrane, Global Director Digital Transformation, AB InBev and Earl Newsome, CIO for Linde received the Silver Leadership Excellence Awards whikst Michael Bodner, CIO, Shipley, received Bronze.
