Data from the National Retail Federation (NRF) shows the retail industry is the largest private-sector employer in the United States economy, supporting 32 million jobs across 4.2 million retail establishments. McKinsey data shows that retail turnover typically hovers around 60%, a number that is substantially higher for many organizations.
